Bummin'

     I spent the weekend away from home. I had a lovely time, but after a bout of eating the wrong thing-itis I wasn't really in a position to take pictures. So here is the view from my yard this morning. It's a bit hazy out, just so you know...


     Not a bad view, though it could be a bit clearer. Oh well.

    We hope you are feeling better by now.
    That derrick reminds me that my grandfather used to cut derrick poles in Shafer Creek near Bogus Basin and sell them to farmers. This was in the middle 1920s after he lost his farm at the pumping plant on Snake River just below the Patch Ditch. He could have used some of your great grandfather's know how, I think. But that is ancient history now...
